True or Misunderstood?
I am spitting angry at the President, and the Democratic Congress. I was torn this past election on who I should vote for, and in the effort of full disclosure I did not vote for then Mr. Obama, however I was not persistent in trying to persuade others from voting for him. Mainly because he promised change, and not more of the same. He promised....
Well sad to say two months into the 48 month's he'll have to reign and I am spitting angry, as are many who I know that did vote for him. Perhaps President Obama misunderstood the people when we said we wanted change, or perhaps he has a vastly different view of change then what we do.
Here's the problem;
When he spoke of change, he spoke of changing the way Washington did business, he promised transparency, bipartisanship, balanced budgets, and more help for the middle class.
Here's what we got;
The Obama administration has failed to act transparently in any major piece of legislation, providing adequate time for media, people, and representatives to review bills of any significance. The Obama administration has failed to change the way Washington did business, choosing to give Golden Parachutes to the people he feels donated enough to his campaign and allowing those who didn't pay tribute to fail. While complaining as a Senator about the dangerous expansion of the executive branch, he has now sought to expand the executive branch, and legislative branches powers beyond what any interpretation of the constitution would allow. He now seeks to control the wages of workers, the way businesses do business, and not in the sense of regulation, but in the sense of firing people who his administration feels doesn't make the cut. The Obama administration has forced bills through Congress without any consideration to dissenting opinions chalking dissenters up to the ilk of the previous administration despite their vastly different views. The Obama administration has put forth a budget which seeks to rise our national debt up to 25% of our nation's GDP or a worse debt to GDP ratio then some countries we may consider near third world. The Obama administration has promised to help the middle class but has taken every opportunity it could to make getting a job more difficult increasing taxes on products known to be used by the lower class, and has offered little relief in any major aspect of the economy including the areas which are known to be most hurt, housing.
This is not the Change we voted for, this was not the intention of anyone's vote except those who may be categorized as the extreme left. Nobody said we did not want capitalism, nobody said we wanted a 25% GDP to debt ratio, nobody said we wanted you to spend more, nobody said we wanted you to control executive pay, nobody said we wanted you to own massive amounts of stock in 'private' companies, nobody said we wanted you to force bills through Congress, nobody said we wanted you to expand the executive branches powers, nobody said we wanted this...
In a mere two months Obama and the Democratic party has managed to lie, cheat, steal, violate the constitution, and embarrass the U.S. and his party.
One thing the president has not done, is provided any evidence of significant change....
That's my take... what's yours?
